Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection

Well, despite the upcoming chaos of Christmas, we managed to get our protocol appointment in this week, which was nice. We met with our RE and discussed several things, including a tentative schedule which should be finalized in the New Year. YAY! We're moving ahead with this. B's last semen analysis wasn't good (I'll post the numbers on the 'Numbers' page); but at least he's consistent! lol. So the doctor's decided that we definitely will be doing IVF + ICSI  when the time comes. I'll have to look more up on the ICSI thing. My hysteroscope all looked good, which isn't a surprise considering I would think they would have said something during it to me if it was abnormal.

Our doctor did a quick antral follicle count, and it looks like my ovaries are being very good to me, making lots of little follicles. Hopefully this means I'll stimulate nicely. So our orientations for the injectables will be in January (we'll see if B. passes out! he hates needles lol) and according to the RE's schedule, we should be cycling by mid February!  YAY! Apparently he's going to use the short-protocol (no birth-control prior to injectables).

So, a bit of good news just in time for Christmas!! Now, off to research more about short protocols so I know what to expect!!
